Statement of commitment

Elavon Canada Company maintains an accessible environment where all individuals have access to the company’s goods and services in a manner that positively reinforces customer service.

We embrace the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) criteria, Level AA, as outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium. We develop and test to those standards, ensuring our digital products and services are accessible for users of all abilities.

Our commitment to our customers with disabilities includes a dedicated accessibility office and director who oversees our enterprise accessibility policy and digital accessibility standard, working with our product, risk and customer service teams to ensure we are actively identifying and removing barriers, making it easy to do business with our company.

At this time, we have tested and remediated our existing digital products and services made available in Canada. Any new or modified development requires accessibility testing and evidence of accessibility prior to publication.

Accessibility for our employees

Accessibility and disability inclusion is woven throughout our company. From our Global Disability Business Resource Group and Support Circles to our digital accessibility teams, we work diligently to erase stigmas, remove barriers and provide accommodations so that each employee may succeed in their career and thrive. Inclusion isn’t just a saying—it’s a way of working and interacting to ensure everyone belongs.

Candidate and employee accommodation needs are met through our centralized accommodations services team within Human Resources. Additionally, this team promotes accessibility of employee facing systems, provides disability etiquette and inclusion training to all people leaders, and advocates on behalf of our employees with disabilities.

All policies and documents required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, including policies on the provision of goods and services to persons with disabilities, feedback, accessibility training, temporary disruptions, service animals and support persons, are available and can be provided in accessible formats, or with communication supports, upon request.

Accessibility is at the heart of our work and culture

Accessibility is truly at the center of everything we do. Our accessibility team hosts company-wide training, leads assistive technology demos and consults on everything we create. We also have resource groups for people with disabilities, including support circles, where employees can share their unique experiences and make meaningful connections with each other.

All employees based in Canada, as well as all employees with responsibility for product design or development, are required to take a foundational accessibility training course and strongly recommended to complete additional training curricula specific to their role. Additionally, people leaders must complete a required training course on supporting employees with disabilities.

We are activity in the professional disability community and members of disability inclusion programs like Neurodiversity @ Work Roundtable and Next Gen Leadership, and co-founding Disability: IN Caregiver Support Working Group, we’ll continue to advocate to make life a little easier and more welcoming for everyone.
